Lip Care Outdoor is a very nourishing and ample lip balm, with protective Titanium Dioxide and soothing Geranium Oil, which makes your lips soft and smooth. It stays on longer and locks the moisture in, preventing dry, chapped lips and reducing fine lines around the mouth.
Geranium Oil has many benefits; it is antibacterial, it heals wounds, it is anti-inflammatory and haemostatic. Geranium Oil is commonly used to heal wounds, burns, sunburns, psoriasis, dry eczema and cracked skin.
Titanium Dioxide is the best sunscreen to use in sun protection products, even for children. It is the substance recommended by dermatologists, and we have been using it since 1996. Titanium Dioxide is a mineral that is not absorbed by the body. It stays
on the skin’s surface, where it reflects the sun’s rays. Titanium Dioxide does not hide
the skin’s warning signals, such as redness from being in the sun for too long.
The lips are exceptionally exposed to cold and windy conditions, and their skin is very thin, with only 3–5 layers of skin cells, compared to 15 layers on the rest of the body. The skin on the lips may also have difficulties producing enough oil, especially if you have used mineral oil on your lips.
We use plant-based oils instead of mineral oils, such as vaseline, paraffin and petroleum, which can be found in most other skincare products. Mineral oils dehydrate the skin and provide no vitamins. While vegetable oils are more expensive, they nourish and protect the skin. It might take a few weeks to wean the skin off mineral oil; the amount of time needed depends on how long and how much you have been using it.
As the pollen has been extracted from the Beeswax we use in Lip Care, these products can be used by people who are allergic.
The product contains natural self preservatives.
Maria Åkerberg: "We use Titanium Dioxide as a sun filter in our products. This mineral stays on the surface of the skin and acts as a mirror, reflecting the sun's UV rays. It is a very safe ingredient, both for our health and the environment and it is the best to use on children.
In our sunscreen products, you will also find Carotene, which is extracted from carrots. It is beneficial for dry skin and eczema, counteracting free radicals and contributes to the regeneration of skin cells. Carotene also helps give your skin a more even tan!"
Remember your sun care products! It is important to know that the temperature does not determine how strong the sun’s radiation is. Even on cooler days, it is important to apply sun care products!

Have you been using lip balm with mineral oil? Then start by massaging the lips with AHA & Jojoba Peeling to remove dry skin flakes. Rub gently, with circular motions. Then apply Lip Care Outdoor.
